Can I take a new A-Level for 2017 in my gap year?

I'm taking a gap-year, and re-sitting some of my exams ... I'd also like to take the Edexcel Maths A-Level in my gap year.

I've sat AS maths with OCR in year 12, achieving a B, not far off an A. I really don't like the OCR style of papers, I don't like their formula book, and I don't like their textbook at all. I'd like to resit C1 C2 S1 with edexcel, while also taking C3 C4 and M1 (or S2, I'm still undecided).

Would I be able to sit these exams with Edexcel in 2017? Or would I have to do the new style A-Level? Surely if I do this, the A2 papers won't have been written?

Thanks for the help!

Yes you can sit the existing maths exams if you take them in summer 2017 Or 2018.
