Question about the Spanish syllabus?

I've been looking through the Spanish syllabus, when I found the term "Gran Hermano" (with capital letters). When I googled it to find out what it means, it came up with a Spanish TV series. Is this what I am supposed to learn it as, or is there some other translation I should know?

Gran Hermano is the Spanish version of Big Brother. I learnt about it during my AS for Spanish. It gives a good example of typical Spanish reality television, so they probably do mean the TV show.
