Any idea when DB are holding first round interviews? Did the numerical test a few weeks back and haven't heard anything since.
when people say a cv should be no more than 1 page, does that mean double-sided?

Is QMUL a target university for banking, finance etc ? Would an ECON graduate from QMUL be more competitive than a Management graduate from LSE or UCL ?

So the big four recruit most graduates from those unis and no where else ?

Would a first from QMUL Econ be better than a 2:1 from LSE or UCL for a related Econ or business course ?

No, the big4 recruit from dozens of universities. They have to fill 4-5 thousand spots a year - there is really no 'target' system when you're offering that many roles.

In terms of opportunities opened up? No. In terms of maybe some kudos, sure.

You can get into the big four accounting firms from any university, they don't care what university you go to. It's the investment banks that tend to recruit more from the target universities like LSE, UCL, Imperial, Oxbridge, Warwick.

So investment banking could arguably lead to a higher salary depending on what job role someone has ?

It would be nice if you made a new thread tbh, it's not exactly relevant here.

QMUL is a complete non target unfortunately, LSE and UCL are both one of the 6 target schools or core schools as some banks call them.

And Subject does not matter as much as uni, for IBD its completely irrelevant, for S&T they slightly prefer more numerate degrees but the name of uni is still far more important than subject.

But that being said I don't want you to be demotivated its still completely possible to get in from QMUL or any non target.
