How come some AS levels are out of 200 UMS marks?

I was thinking that, my German AS was out of 200 UMS, whereas, Physics, Chem, Maths were out of 300

I thought most were out of 300 - 300 for AS and 300 to make it up to A2?

Is it irrelevant?

I think its the Maths and Sciences which are out of 300, everything else is 200.

All non-science subjects that are new spec are out of 200. :smile:

Yeah it's changed for the new specification. An AS level is now 200 (excluding sciences including maths in which it is 300) making it 400 for the full A Level (600 in the case of sciences).

This is because the new spec has dropped from 6 units to 4.

I was actually well gutted - meant it looked like i had an A with january results, but infact was one mark off
