Get into accommodation, don't be afraid to ask (Rootes and JM are probably the top two to look at).
The building work will (hahaha) be complete and gone, make sure you check out the completed plans.
Try and get into the copper rooms. The entrance is around the back of the union near whitefields. Equally, don't miss the dirty duck.
Ask nicely to get into the library.

If you can, get a current student to give you a tour!

You can also maybe have a look around different accomodations... just ask nicely and people might be happy to show you their accom.
Go to the students union...though remember it is currently under construction, by the time you apply it will finally be all done. The dirty duck is a nice bar to hang out in, check that out.

The gym is good too, the library and the arts centre... and you might even want to visit the department of the course you want to study. Find out where that is, might be worth it, if you are lucky you may even find a member of staff to direct any questions to, or at least have a look around.

Best thing to do would be to just go to these places and ask if there's any chance you could be shown around or be able to have a quick look around as a potential student.
