I went through a little phase of adding people I didn't know! I added a guy because he had a 'friendly face' (just looked for my first comment, which was, and I quote:

Hello, you don't know me but I thought you had a friendly face in your picture, hahaha!

... and I added someone else for having a cool name. I'm really good friends with the first guy now :smile:

I've not spoken to the second one since, but that's beside the point :wink:

I get complete strangers adding me... srsly, why?!?

I just ignore them...

welcome to the world of facebook! it is weird especially when its a guy adding you and then you check out their profiles and they have 5000+ female friends that all look like pornstars!

I went on SEO Black Hat (or something) one time, and apparently they farm accounts like this (they're fake), for nefarious purposes.

it's only weird if you don't know them at all imo

But tbf at least if this stopped the number of a person's 'friends' would be more realistic.

ie. Down from 400 to 70.
