And if they do close the course down, they have to consider offering you its successor course, or a similar existing course.

Nope, once you've accepted and got your grade requirements from your firm, then as soon as you've got them, you're in.
No. Say someone has an offer of BBB; if they just get the UMS marks to get BBB, they are guaranteed a place along with the offer holder who got A*A*A*.

If too many people meet their offers the uni might ask if applicants want to transfer to another course or take a gap year, but this is optional and you don't have to agree to it.
