Is it worth resitting?

For my Chemistry AS Level I got:

Unit 1: 72/90
Unit 2: 125/150
Practical: 42/60

This gives me 239/300 overall which is 1 mark off an A.

Will doing a resit in the 2 Units be likely to give me the extra 1 UMS?

Also, is there any point in doing this at AS Level? Do Universities see your AS results?

I was in the exact same position last year 1 ums off so annoying!
I would recommend retaking in june rather than january as then if you do one of the other modeules in january and get really high you dont need to bother with a retake at all and if you dont then you can retake one of the AS modules and find it easier as, if your doing the same spec as me (OCR chemistry A) at least, the A2 modules overlap with the AS modules making the AS ones seem a lot easier. I gained 16 extra marks in my unit 2 retake this summer.
Also, as its your lowest mark and one of the easiest places to lose stupid marks/gain easy marks I would ask your teachers if you can retake the practical coursework this year aswell, again if its the same sylabus then you can only retake 2 out of the 3 pieces but this should be enough to bump up that module. I had a high B in my cwk last year and 58 after retaking.
Hope this helps!
