How far to supermarket ?

Hi! I have put Reading as my first choice and want self catering accommodation. Can anyone tell me how far the nearest supermarkets are from St. Georges, Sherfield and Bulmershe? Are they within walking distance when you are carrying heavy bags? Please help as I have to fill in my accommodation form soon.

Bulmershe is miles away from campus. Well not miles, but put it this way: there's a bus.

My friend lives in St Georges and he doesn't find the walk so bad. Sherfield is pretty close to Georges, I don't think it makes a lot of difference. There are 2 Sainsburys in town (prolly a bit of a trek with bags mind), but theres ASDA and Tesco too. I've seen tonnes of Tesco vans, so tbh I'd say make friends and get everything delivered together!
