I completely sympathize, he sounds just like my previous landlord!
One day I woke up to find him IN MY ROOM varnishing my bedroom door!
On another occasion he brought someone round to view the flat (without prior notice or any kind of warning) and walked right into my flatmate's room...whilst he was in bed with his girlfriend!
He used to visit the flat/bedsit (unannounced) at least 3 days per week (to do completely unnecessary tasks) and would hang around for hours. It was horribly intrusive.
Your landlord is clearly breaching your rights as a tenant. This kind of behaviour seems to be commonplace amongst landlords and letting agents. They seem to regard tenants as subhuman, and are a law unto themselves.
