Help understanding HNC grading system
Hi there
I notice several HNC: applied science courses I enquired about have different grading structures. In some you can obtain a percentage which helps you obtain a pass, merit or distinction. Other HNC courses have only pass or fail showing no concept of how well you really did. Would the pass/fail only grading system put you at a disadvantage to some from the other grading system who gets all distinctions?
Does anyone know why this is and what difference it makes if any? These are for courses in both Scotland and England.
Thanks
