Finance application

Hi all, just wondering how many of you have applied for your student finance for the coming first year of university. I was also wondering how you show your benefits on the application and does it count towards household income. I myself will be claiming the special support grant so does this do something in relation to benefits? Thanks

Income that will be taken into account

Bank or Building Society Gross Interest
Property Lettings or Rent
Dividends from investments/shares/unit trusts
Trusts or Sponsorships
Pensions
Any other payment received for attending the course (This does not include University Bursaries).

So yes, these will be included within your assessment.

As for SSG, this depends on your circumstances. You mentioned benefits so...

Have you got a disability and qualify for income-related Employment and Support Allowance?

Hi, thanks for your response. Yes I have several disability and mobility issues. As for employment support allowance I think I get a form of it yes.
