I don't like going outside

It's the Easter holiday for me atm, so I'm at home revising, playing games on my computer etc.

Now, my parents think it's a real problem that I don't like going out of the house. Tbh, none of my friends live close to me and there's not much I can do outside. My parents went to a nearby city today with some of their friends and children, and they wanted me to go. I honestly think it's boring outside and I'd much rather stay home. I've seen pretty much every local attraction and I find them all dull.

If my friends did live nearby, then I would get out a lot more. One and a half weeks of being at home, and I've left the house 5 times. 4 of them to take out the rubbish, the other one involved doing some shopping.

I just find it nicer inside, and I feel that it's more productive to stay indoors.

My parents are starting to think this is bad and I should get out more.

Is it really? Do you like staying inside, or do you like going outside?
I like inside  It's warm and clean
My mum says the same!

I live so far away from all my friends so I don't really go out...

As long as you know how to socialise and you're not starved of vitamin D then it's fine to stay inside!

Just tell them there's nothing to do and you don't want to go out with them to certain places (that also happened with me, the mother going out and saying I should too)

same!

I have no money, my friends are under 18 because everyone my age went to uni and they live 2 bus rides and a train away! I did go out for a meal with some people from work and this afternoon I'm going out with my two best friends from college, so I am definitely improving despite my parents saying all I do is sit online.

It does seem a little excessive, but it's not a massive issue. Personally I need the change of scenery going outside brings, but I can appreciate the massive drop in productivity that comes with that. Perhaps arrange to meet up with friends that live a while away next weekend to give yourself a change and put your mother's mind at rest.
Go gym or jog, then your parents will stop complaining and you will benefit from the exercise.
I prefer the outdoors due to playing sports and I walk to school everyday which is a bit of a trek, but do have the odd FIFA session till like 2am :P
You've left the house 5 times in 1 and a half weeks? That's loads if you're on holiday, some people are just house-y, :P completely normal
