Hi, I will be commuting from a small town in Bedfordshire called Sandy where I live, it is about 35 miles to Hatfield from there but its right next to the A1 dual carriageway which goes straight up to Hatfield and takes about half an hour or so. However I will mostly be taking the train to Stevenage and then a bus from Stevenage to the College Lane Campus  It sounds like a lot of effort, but it is actually quite quick lol

I think it's a good thing to not have done it at A-level. it's totally different to a psychology at degree level. It almost ruined the whole subject for me. Trust me none of you have missed out on much it was a bore...

I know Queensbury  not too far from wembley park right? I'm actually shocked by how close Hertfordshire is to London. There are some very good transport links to get there even from where I live in south but I'm lazy so campus it is lool

Hello, I'm going to commute in as well as I live in Stevenage. I'm excited and nervous about starting so would be great to get to know some other psychology students at Herts before going.
I'm coming in from Stevenage too, are you getting the bus from outside Asda or driving in? Not long to go now

I am going to be getting the bus from Stevenage Bus Station as it is right next to the train station where I will be getting off  Has anyone received a reading list or anything from the university at all? I am worried I will miss something and look like a fool lol If not, does anyone know if we will get one at all? thanks

I'm going to be getting a year pass for the uno bus as I can apply for jobs anywhere in Hertfordshire and then use my year pass to get there. I'm been worrying about the reading list to as I can't find one anywhere. Also, I haven't done psychology for a year so I'm re-reading my as and a2 textbooks and my friend has given me some other books which I'm slowly reading through. Has anyone brought any tickets for freshers yet?

I wouldn't worry about reading lists yet guys! I went for a visit on Friday the lecturer said for the first couple weeks it will be more like a transition so meeting our personal tutors and that then we will get a reading list  and she also said because some people may not have done any psychology we will be starting basically from the beginning so no need to worry about reading, for now anyways :L

I've decided not to buy the freshers pass because I don't really want to go to some events and the foam party isn't included either

Thanks for the book recommendation I will take a look at some point  I have been reading 'The Psychopath Test' by Jon Ronson, I have already read it once before but liked it so I am reading it again lol It probably won't help very much with the course but at least I am getting back in the swing of Psychology related issues

I'm doing Psychology too, woohoo! As is my friend. We both did A-Level Psychology. Look forward to meeting y'all
