Bedding pack

What's in it?

I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering about this now that accommodation is being booked.

I could get something at Tesco but apparently the beds are longer than normal plus it saves on the hassel.

I got it. It's not particularly high quality but I took along some of my own oversheets so I could wash them etc. but it saves a lot of hassle with an already tightly packed car.

So I am assuming it has:

duvet with cover
fitted sheet
mattress cover
pillow with case
maybe second pillow with case?

We only need one set of bedding. Just wash it in the morning and stick it in the dryer.

fitted sheet
pillow

It's tricky, isn't, if they have longer beds.

Many beds on campus are now longer than normal

Does anyone know who big these longer beds are, to see if it is possible to buy a fitted sheet/protector from normal shops that actually fit them? Has anyone done this, and can suggest somewhere that sells fitted sheets that fit?

I think they're two metres but I'm not certain.

Sounds quite likely. A search for 'fitted sheet 200cm' offers quite a few - for example Ikea for a fiver - http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/30149957/

I'm guessing the mattresses are quite thin - not deep enough to present a problem with fitted sheets not being big enough

They also seem to do mattress protectors for a tenner - http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/90152777/

I take it the beds are 90cm wide, not 75?
