Accommodation Expired

Basically, I was offered a place at Floyer House last week. I accepted the offer the next day.

Unfortunately I have been away from the internet since Thursday so haven't had a chance to check whether I received a confirmation email.

Turns out I didn't and recently received an email saying my offer has expired! I'm in a serious panic over this and will be ringing them up to query what has happened, but in all honesty, it didn't click to me that there was something wrong when I didn't receive an email confirming my place. I've just been too busy over the weekend to have caught the signs that something was up.

Has anyone else ever faced a problem like this? I'm going to fight for that room, as I definitely accepted it but I'm just wondering if anyone has any clue what could happen to me and my place now as it's probably already been offered to someone else.
