Need help to decide urgent!!

I applied too late to get student accommodation however they have offered me now an accommodation but it is city accommodation, the house im currently gonna move into on sunday is about 15mins walk and about 5-1min bike ride but the uni accommodation is in the city which is really far as ive not got a car and will be relying on bike and bus. I just honestly want the best experiance i can as you are only a first year once! But i need to reply within the next few hrs if i take it or not!

what do i do? Closer to uni but living in private accommodation or go halls which is 50mins on a bus or 40mins bike?

is the experience THAT much different being in private accommodation for first years? Also the uni is UEA
