Criminal Record & Uni

Hey -

Kind of embarrassing but need some advice so here goes;

I have a criminal record for a recent conviction of fraud - but now I have a dream of being a midwife. I'm worried that Universities won't accept me although I have been told it's not impossible and I will need to sit a board for a decision to be decided.

Does anyone have any tips, tricks, advice for my UCAS application in helping my situation ?
You will have to declare it - there's no way around that one. If you didn't declare it, it would show up on your CRB check, and not having declared it would mean instant rejection.

Now, not having a clean CRB check is not necessarily the end of your midwifery career, but it will be up to unis whether or not they take you.

I'll move this over to the nursing and midwifery forum where you can get more specialist advice.
