OCR A: Coursework UMS

Hi all, anyone have a guess as to what this would be standardised from raw marks to UMS.

For Physics I got: 36/40

For Chemistry I got 40/40

Also would it be worth redoing the Physics to get higher.

Thanks all.

36 is an A so you dont need to do it again
Is this for A.S or A2?

Its for A2, should have made that more explicit.

I was considering doing it again to try an improve my chance of getting the A Star. Not wanting to overask or anything, but do you think that the difference between 36 and 40 is a lot in terms of UMS. :colondollar:

For A2.

Study what the teacher says the task will be on. Try and find out what the teacher will use as the mean titre.

I'd redo physics, you want full marks in coursework.

36 would be lower than 85% UMS I think.
40 would be 100% UMS.

Yep thats the thing, the A*boundary is so slender that I think I worked it out to be half of the max UMS (15 give or take) to be dropped.

Yeah I guess I will, thanks for your advice.

Are you doing OCR Chem btw
