Clearing for a transfer student

Hello, I was just wondering if it was possible for students to go through clearing even if they're a transfer student hoping to go into the second year?

Basically, I am currently studying with the University of Hertfordshire and I wanted to transfer to Salford University to do my second year of graphic design so I applied through UCAS for this, and I'm a bit worried that I won't get in and it's kind of my only option to go to that particular uni (long story) anyway, so if I didn't get in, is it possible that I could still try through clearing or is that not an option for second year students?

If it's not possible, anyone have any idea what I can do? I'm seriously so worried, I'd love if someone could give me some advice

Clearing is for first year students really. They'll typically know about any places for second year entry long before then, so you should be sending in an application much earlier than that, having asked them if they'll take second year transfer students.
