Just wondering if someone could tell me their experiences of it? Not that I'm wanting to go, just that I want to know why parents would spend so much on an education for GCSEs and A levels.
My brother goes. A lot of his friends were going from the prep school he went to, so we figured that we might as well just apply.
And as for the money, he goes for free- so that rumour of Eton boys all being rich who only got in because of the reputation of their fathers is not true. My brother got in on his own merit, he worked hard to pass the tough scholarship exams. And it's not only him that's going for free, a lot of boys get a significant amount off.
Furthermore, we felt it was a good place for him to develop his interests. Seriously, the extracurriculars they have there are insane. They also have a great classics department and since my brother is really into classics, we figured it would be a good place for him.
