He isn't better than Messi and he'll never have a chance to win the WC. But still, Ronaldo is a legend and ever since moving to RM from United, he's grown spectacularly and the amount of goals he has scored is amazing. Him and Messi are by far ahead of every footballer at present. If you call Ronaldo overrated then everyone bar Messi is overrated.

Messi if playing for City/Chelsea/Arsenal/Pool would score a lot but NOT 50....and Ronaldo only scored only 40 because he was on fire that season...doubt he could do that again if he came back to England..

Ronaldo is better now than he was then, why could he not do that? Suarez got 31 without playing european football, and missing games at the start of the season. You and others here don't know much about football. Messi and Ronaldo are the best players in the world right now, Ronaldo is on top this year though.

Ronaldo has scored over 250 goals with around the same number of appearances for Real Madrid (although La Liga is unarguably far from difficult to score in). Ronaldo has won two Ballon d'Ors. Ronaldo has scored the most goals in a Champions League season.

I don't think Ronaldo is overrated. He is an outstanding player. Ronaldo is the closest thing to Messi at the moment, because no forward is on the same level as Messi is (bar this season due to injury) other than him. That's why we frequently see the two being compared and such.

That's a rubbish reason. In that case, he is essentially the 'mega-superstar' in a superstar team.
