Canada apologieses to the General Assembly, in particular the Australian rep, for mis-judging the Australian reps comments, taking them offensivley and not constructivly.

Canada would also like to point out that some revisions have been made to the Resolution, taking into account the comments of Russia, Australia, Denmark & Finland.

:yy:

Australia now throws its support behind this proposal.

We thank Canada for investing their time and effort into crafting such a critical and valued resolution.

OOC: It's nice to see a relatively new member make a decent attampt at a resolution, and doing well at it. As said before this resolution has my full support.

Canada now asks for a vote to be put to the General Assembly, if Russia, Denmark and Finland are happy with the ammendments?

The UK is alarmed at the escape of Timorese rebel leader MAJ Alfredo Reinado. Our intelligence sources indicate that they may be armed. We have also observed an increase in the frequency and magnitude of clashes in Dili, the capital of East Timor. We understand that the existing Australian-led peacekeepers including the New Zealand Defence Force is leading the effort to apprehend these fugitives, and we will make available any resources they may require to achieve this objective and uphold the law.

We support this resolution, and hope that normalcy can return to the world's youngest democracy in a timely manner.
