Also, aparently schools/colleges have to sign the forms or something, and the forms aren't available till the 1st, so we may have to pay the current rate for the first week or so of term. I don't see why they couldn't have got the forms out earlier so we could have it all sorted before term starts?

Like everyone else you mean? Shock horror lol. Consider yourself lucky, think of the rest of us paying higher fares because of it!

the higher fares (£1.50) were introduced a while ago. Besides, if you use oyster pre-pay it's only 80p which is very reasonable indeed, this used to the amount you paid by cash a couple of years ago.

It's really annoying that the only investment in public transport is in London. Here in Manchester, you have a car or you're screwed. One tram ride can cost £4.80, and that's travelling the distance of about two tube stops.
