Transferring back to a UK University from the USA?

I have started a masters over in America in Geography but am looking to come home at Christmas and transfer to a masters programme back at home in England?

Would the credits from this course be possible to transfer to a UK University, or would it just be on a case by case basis I guess?

Not possible. UK Unis do not 'transfer' credits at postgrad level in the same way that US Unis might. And no Uni here will want to award their degree to anyone who has done 1/3rd of their degree somewhere else, especially since what you have done is unlikely to be at the same standard required for a UK Masters or compatible with course content.
