Civil Engineering- What to expect?

Hi, i'm currently looking at civil engineering courses and have a few questions, firstly what am I to expect, is it all theory or is their practical? secondly Is it difficult? I currently have fairly low grades, yet enough to consider uni, a course I've found recommends an E in maths suggesting that its not difficult however I've heard a mixed bag of opinions. Lastly where will a degree in civil engineering take me?

Thanks

It's engineering so it will be hard plus they will be lots of maths and physics concepts to learn.

Mostly theory, although there is a fair share of practicals, for example, in civil engineering you often have surveying trips, mini test and build practicals etc. Some uni's offer a good ratio between practicals and theory use "Unistats" to help you check this.

It's engineering, it won't be easy.

It can take you all over the world and you can be involved in big world projects.
