English Lit or Language?

Which is better at alevel and why? I am so stuck on choosing alevel options. I wanted to go for lit as it's a harder option but Language looks so much better!

They're both fairly different subjects. Language is basically more concerned with linguistics so stuff like why we use languages and whats it for. Lit is more reading based and interpretations.

I would go for the subject you are most interested in. Bearing in mind, English language is still respected by all unis pretty much and is hardly a subject which will destine you for an insta-rejection (like some people make it out to be)
