Yoda in Personal Statement?

So I've found a great quote that fits in well with my personal statement:
"Do, or do not, there is no try."
Only problem is, Yoda said it. Is it still acceptable to include or will they just think I'm weird?

The personal statement is a formal, academic piece of writing, so it is probably unwise to include quotes from Star Wars.

Serious, am I, young padawan.
Universities in general just aren't interested in quotes, let alone those from fictional characters. You need to tell admissions tutors about yourself, not waste characters on a meaningless quote.

Truly wonderful the mind of a child is.
"Learn to let go, of everything you fear to lose."

Quotes in general are really cheesy. I was told to steer clear of them!
Unless you can make up a very funny completely unheard of joke to put it in the first line of your PS, there's no space for this unnecessary BS.

One of my friends put in an intelligent joke at the top of his maths PS and got into Trinity College, Cam. Not saying it's completely related because he's a genius anyway.

Only if you then use the rest of the available characters to create his face.

Done.
Yeah I was always told to steer clear of quotes. It's your PS, not Yodas.

Don't use quotations at all in your PS. Personal for a reason.
