I'm at an all girls school and we got told its because the male teachers will find it distracting!

I remember recently (before moving schools) being told by a teacher to pull my skirt down as I was a 'distraction' to the boys. Being the feminist that I am, I was outraged. What is so offensive about young women's bodies? Should it not be the boys who get commented on for staring at girls? This seems to be a common occurrence and I don't see why it happens so often. What are your opinions?

It seems to me that at many places girls are kind of punished for being girls I'd assume that you school has a uniform though and I'd guess the length of your skirt violated that however if it's not explicitly stated in the uniform code then it's not right. You should follow the uniform rules (although personally i'm against uniforms,) but you totally should not be punished for being a girl.
