Typical double standard: women get less attractive with age, and men get more attractive? Come on now...

No, IMO we both get less attractive with age. But it depends on what the observer finds attractive.

Unless they have some kind of fetish, people are attracted to other people of roughly their own age.

Okay, my parents are virtually the same age (well, mam is 65 and dad is 66) and of the two, my mother has definitely aged better.

Lifestyle choices tend to have a huge impact on aging. Alcohol, drugs and tobacco all has an impact with aging as do dietary choices and sleeping habits. Genetics also plays a part.

It does however seem that Caucasian females do tend to age worse than those from the Far East. It also does appear that those from Scandinavian countries tend to age better than those from UK and France or USA.

It does appear that the type of job she does also has a big impact, females with very high paying jobs does seem to age better presumably because they also tend to take better care of themselves and can afford all kinds of stuff to take care of themselves.

Scandinavian are Caucasian. Plus a lot of British people have Norse ancestors Vikings' raping and pillaging, also the fact they invaded these islands and settled multiple times as well :rolleyes:

As long as you look after yourself there is no reason why a women can't still look incredibly fit in her 30s or older.

Me too! I can't help but feel I'm doomed as I'm not far off 30 and have only just had the urge to go out have fun and date so it's like from what men are saying I've missed my prime lol. I'm not a weirdo or anything just introvert :/

I've seen that one it's a bit bizarre thats an article with the most extreme results and it seems the men were voting simply for who they would want sex with and the women were voting for who they thought would be a good match. If I was 40 I would prefere sex with a 20 odd year old guy (fresh skin, no saggy balls etc lol) but wouldn't admit to it I would try to be more realistic as I probably wouldn't have much in common with that much younger. More realistic ones show that as men age they still go for younger but don't have the extreme age gap.

Well I think with men they go through like stages where they can either stay on or be thrown down the attractive scale as they age. The first stage is about 14 - 18, boys can look completely different at 18 then they do when they are younger. I remember some nice looking boys growing up to look unattractive and vica versa some really grow into their looks. Then there is the early twenties when some lads can start to look old/worse/get the receding hair thing etc some of these become less attractive. Then there is later in life around age 30 some men continue to have their good looks whereas others can lose them due to losing hair/getting fat etc. Sometimes men can continue to look great into their 40's ie david becham. I suppose it is similar to women really but it seems that more men (not all) place value on looks than women do. I don't mind older men if they are attractive (in fact had crushes on a few) but the thought of having sex with younger people is obviously more appealing less saggy bits etc. Although the thought of an older man being more experienced can be quite alluring.
