Would it be worth signing up to an education agency while I study?

I am thinking of signing up to an education agency for part time work as a teaching assistant while I finish my course in july next year. For some extra cash. I would only be able to work 1 or 2 days a week but they do advertise for part time work and when you are eligible. I just wonder if there is any point because after tax and deductions from the agency, I dont want to be working for nothing adding extra on top of my training. I am training to be an early years teacher so I already work 24 hours a week unpaid, as part of the course.

do it. If you have no other earnings you are unlikely to pay tax as you get a personal allowance of £10000 and teaching assistants aren't that well paid. You may have to pay national insurance and pension contributions.

It looks good on a CV
