If you don't find your partner at uni or college there is no hope? True or false

Obviously not. But there tends to be more people of similar age / more opportunities for socialisation through shared interests eg societies, perhaps increasing chances of finding someone.

But as I said, most people I personally know didn't meet their partner through uni, despite my uni claiming to be 'the match-making university'. Plenty have had partners whilst at uni, but don't seem to last longer than a few months.

I find myself having very little in common with the people at my uni compared to my friends elsewhere. I think university friends are transient, and once you leave uni from what I've heard, you quickly lose touch with uni friends. Heck, even throughout uni friends are transient. I barely talk to anybody I was 'friends' with in first year. However, I still keep in contact with my friends outside of uni despite not even living in the same town most of the year.
Absolute BS in my view.
