Tuition fee for EU Student as for overseas student

I've got an offer but It says i was considered as an overseas applicant and tuition fee would be just as for them. Why is it so? :/

Contact the university if you qualify as a European Union student and they'll reduce the fees.

Thanks! I do not want to think that admission office does not know that Lithuania is in the EU (it's there for over 10 years) if so, they could have googled it or smth :biggrin:
