Definitely!
I need to submit my application on the 28th of September because that's when my school needs it.

My school has a deadline usually but because my placements are still pending I have up till the deadline to fix things
Let's hope it all works out

Also can I submit my UCAS application before my UKCAT? Or do I have to take the UKCAT first

You can submit ur application
Once you've taken ur UKCAT, you log in back again on the UKCAT website and then give ur personal ucas ID in which they will send the uckat score to the universities u applied to.

I think I'll just do my UKCAT first and then submit it
Good luck to you once again!
You never know we might even be class buddies next year in Southampton (fingers crossed)

Aha! It's possible
The usual competition is 19 applicants per place so if we go by that then we have a 1/19 chance
Which is possible

Hey!

Current BM6 student (In my 5th Year of 6) and personal statement advisor here :hi:.

Shout if you have any questions, preferrably in the thread so everyone benefits unless it contains private info in which case PM.

Good luck! Pleased to see some familiar usernames in here :h:

Nope, It's next week and I can't wait until I get it over and done with. How about you?

Mine is on the fifth of October,
How are you preparing?
Are you only applying for foundation medicine or also the standard route

Best of luck to you! Btw, I'm making my way through the 600Q UKCAT textbook. I might also get the 1 week subscription to Medify if I really struggle ^^

My AS grades (ABBC) aren't good enough for the standard route so all my choices are going to be foundation. So I'm looking at: King's EMDP, Soton BM6, UEA and Notts.
What about you?

Im applying for Nottingham
Southampton bm6
And can't apply to UEA because my schools pass rate was 61% not 60% *sigh*
And can't apply for kings either I don't live in the area they state :frown:
So really hoping for offers from soton and notts

Also have you checked with Nottingham on the postcode criteria
That's essential - if you don't meet that criteria they won't even consider your application.

I'm 95% sure my postcode meets their criteria however I can't be completely sure as I don't know what "postcode tool" they use. I'm also a bit unsure about Nottingham since they say: "If either your GCSE profile, OR your predicted grades at A-level, meet the A100 academic requirements then you must be studying at a school without a tradition of high academic achievement..."
I meet their GCSE reqs but not their A-level reqs. How do they assess your school's achievement? I'll email them later, lol.

Aww, that's unlucky about UEA :frown: My school's pass rate was 59% for my year so I just barely made it...

Best of luck, I'm sure you can do it!

Phone them up and ask before hand
Otherwise if you don't meet the criteria then that'll be a wasted application
But if you're 95% sure then it probably will be
Good luck

TSR have a pay-per-review service now so we used to be able to offer this and I did a lot of reviews, but now we're not strictly speaking allowed to.

Drop me a PM and I would be happy to answer any questions about your PSs there. :h:
Hello

I'm going to apply here.

547.5 :frown:

I don't think this course requires the UKCAT score though does it?

My low score is down to the medication I take - it makes me think more slowly.

That's fine they only use it after interviews if two candidates are very similar,
Don't worry!
I know someone who got 540 and is not studying on the course
Just make sure your personal statement is kick ass

I really hope my score doesn't influence my application. I LOVE Southampton!
