6 months stage

my brother-in-law has to do this stage. Is there any possibility you know any place where he can do it? it must be 6 months and it can be in chemistry-pharmacology or medicine-pharmacology, also anything involving the envirnoment..

its not a easy thing, please let me know if you know ANYTHING, even just an idea, because he doesn't know where to ask (he asked in Manchester University and they said they don't do it and don't even have contacts with companies who do stages for overseas students ,from Italy so european student by the way).
