Serious second thoughts about my uni course

I've received offers from Manchester Met for Forensic Biology and also Liverpool John Moors for Forensic Science. I've researched into the subject and realised it's a very employable degree and doesn't seem worth while.
It seems forensic science employers prefer students with traditional science degrees, such as chemistry, which to me, makes the forensic science degree seem to narrow and almost completely useless.

Would it be beneficial for me to deny the offers and apply for clearing? Any input would help

thanks

clearing is risky, the course you want may not turn up at a university you want to go to. Take a gap year. Trust me.
