Personal Statement

Hey is anyone else here doing their personal statement for UCAS yet cos we got told we have to do the first draft by tommorow (22nd) and i havent started yet. Im finding it really difficult to come up with anything decent to say.

im applying for maths at a bunch of top unis and need it to be good... so does anyone have any advice or possibly their statement (i wont copy i just need inspiration...)

just be yourself in it,by all means exagerate but don't go to ott. I was applying to do spanish and portuguese at oxford and I had never done portuguese before so I thought it would be a "good" idea to say I was trying to teach myself.BIG mistake. I did sort of try but didn't really learn much. I got into my interview and looked like a total twat. Also try and be a bit original and don't go down the "i've been fascinated by.....since the age of 2". Someone in know put that they had loved nuclear physics frm an early age. ummm
