Same as me. I emailed them back answering their questions and haven't heard anything since yet!

It sounds like we're getting offered a position, provided that there is availability at our specified location preferences.

I sent them 3 emails cos apparently there was something wrong with it but haven't heard nothing either which is annoying as id like to know to where I stand.
Hopefully we are getting jobs out of it like it's been all very stressful especially the waiting

Three emails? I only sent one email to the email address that was given to us. Now I'm worried!

Yeah, I agree. Hopefully we should know soon!

I am an internal candidate and am on the reserve list. I asked if they had taken everyone off the reserve list after the acceptances on the 12th. The reply was that they had and everyone who was offered a place in my 2 locations of Birmingham and Manchester all accepted. Absolutely gutted to hear it as the chances are slim now surely. Worried now that I will not get offered a O/HO

No one will be taken off the reserve list for tsp till 31st July. Can you copy the email? I personally know someone who rejected Birmingham.

Only because I didn't gett respond for the first and wasn't sure if that's ok so send second one and then on the hmrc tsp fb they posted that some of us been facing issues with that email and they gave us another one.

Well it says in the email that we should find out end of this month so hopefully this week.
Do they do reference checks for officer roles given after tsp application? At the moment i'm halfway through pre employment checks for an AO role, i was given a provisional offer almost a month ago, however if i'm offered an officer role in birmingham then i might just withdraw my AO application. Pre employment checks take ages!!

This isn't correct as a few people from the reserve list were offered places last week and the reserve list has to run until the 31st August.

Completely unfair those who didn't make it to stage 3 being offered places before people who did.
Congratulations to all those who have been offered jobs or expecting to start the role!

So happy for you guys!

I met the standard but unfortunately didn't make it through, so I'm on the "reserve list"However, I've known people to have been offered O level roles who didn't make it past stage 2, yet I still havent even heard anything.

Is this normal?

Seems a little unfair to have gone through the assessment centre etc and not be offered anything at all. whilst others are taking up spaces when the whole process is apparently based on "Merit Order"

Thoughts anyone?

Yeah it's normal. Those who reached a good enough standard at AC have been put on a reserve list for a higher grade (HO). As it happens there are O roles available now and not HO, and although it may seem unfair that those who did not make it as far are being offered jobs now it may work out better in the long run, we may be offered a HO job in 2 months time and we'll be glad we didn't accept an O role. I'm generally a skeptical person so I'm going to assume that HO roles will not become available as they've just finished a campaign for which they have reserves for! Although I was thinking that if perhaps any current HOs were successful on getting on TSP then maybe some jobs would become available in September but who knows.

Does that mean that even though we've been offered o positions we might not get it? I am confused with all that

If your email said to not treat it as a provisional offer then there is no guarantee. Although I did not got an email my understanding of it is that they have sent out initial emails to everyone on the O grade reserve list to see who is still interested (people may have taken other jobs or other reasons), once they've collated this they will then have a look at what numbers are needed and at what locations. They may need lot or perhaps just 1 or 2 at each location, I think they specified a few locations that were most in need. Places at each location will then be allocated on merit but there's no way of knowing where you stand on the list.

That is so annoying that we have to wait so long I hope it's worth it.

I know people were taken off the list for other locations but I will have to check the email I was sent again as it read like everyone offered Birmingham and Manchester accepted. The replies on here confirm at least one rejected Birmingham.

Yes it does seem unfair but hopefully people on the reserve who don't make the final cut will be offered a HO role. This has been the most frustrating 7-8 months!!

There were 23 places on offer in Birmingham
Anyone know how many places on the tsp scheme were available in notts? Just out of curiosity as ive only seen one other person on this forum other then me say they were offered notts?

A lad I spoke to on TSP15 in Nottingham reckons there are only 10 places here this year. Knew I should have just put Nottingham/Leeds instead of nearly every location.

Which makes it all the more frustrating when as you say I've only seen 1 person on here and the FB group say they've accepted Nottingham.

Not sure about numbers but one of the girls at our assessment centre although got Notts, so you'll know at least one familiar face.

Just had a reply from the Facebook page:

'Hello Lizzie,At the moment the places in those locations are full. However, this does not mean the situation will not change.Thank you'

Re Leeds and Manchester.

There are 23 posts in Birmingham and currently all of these are full. All candidates accepting their posts. The same is true for your other preferred location of Manchester.

This is the response I had referring to the reserve list
