Help - golden rule and purposive rule
Hi, I am just wondering if the golden and purposive rule are closely connected, or is it the literal and golden rule that are closely connected? I ask this, because in the book: it says at the start that in the R v Allen case the Golden rule was applied, then it concludes that the purposive approach was used, so I can only assume they're connected. But for that case, was the golden or purposive rule applied?
