Sunderland Accom for 1student/1professional. HELP!

Hi,

I am starting a postgrad at Sunderland uni Sept 2016 and my friend who isn't a student wants to live with me. We don't know where to begin in going about finding a 2 bed house/flat for student and non-student. Does anybody have any advice, ie, how we do it, costs to expect, good landlords.

The University offers suitable accommodation for families or couples. It could be one or two-bedroom self-contained flat, however you would still be living in university managed accommodation and would receive support from hall's staff and 24h security.
