Is City Gateway a good Accommodation choice?

Hi I am starting Southampton in 2016 and I was wondering if City Gateway is a good choice? I am deciding between there and Mayflower

City Gateway is closer to Highfield campus than Mayflower, and it's slightly newer by one year I think. However Mayflower has the advantages of being in the city centre, and it has a gym.
