If I did get caught what will I get?

Hopefully a basic lesson in grammar and punctuation. It isn't really very clear what you are talking about (have you read what you have written), but I think rule 191 probably sums up the rights and wrongs

At best you would be asked to move on along with a verbal ticking off. At worst, you might get 3 points and a fine for obstruction, but you would have to be seriously arsy about it to get that for such a minor thing.

3 points.
A Jupiterian did the same thing back in the 90s and this is what happened to his planet:

Zig Zigs are a rare oddity in motoring law in that they can be enforced both by the police criminally and also by the council down a decriminalised route (in most other cases it's one or the other)

So it depends who catches you. The police will issue a £100 fine and 3 points, but if you go to court expect that fine to increase.

The council will hand you a fine, which can be via CCTV, potentially as much as £130 depending on the council although no points. You will also get the opportunity to pay a 50% discount, but if you don't pay expect it to rise to as much as £400-600 and have bailiffs at your door.
