I am Polish, but have been living in England for the past 11 years. I have a Polish passport, and therefore thought I had to apply to student finance as an EU national. Only after I completed my form did I realise that it says "if you have lived in the UK for over 5 years apply as if you were a British national". Now, I can't change how I applied, and I have been denied any maintenance loans. What do I do?

Phone up student finance. They should cancel your application for you to start a new one.
