PGCE vs BA primary education

I want to become a primary teacher and I have two possible routes available to me.

1) I take up the 3 years undergraduate route offer to study for early years childhood studies at middlesex followed by a PGCE Primary
or
2) I study for a BA (Hons) Primary Teaching with QTS.

I would like to start a discussion about the pros and cons about the different routes

I've moved this into the Education and Teaching careers forum where it should hopefully get more attention.

If you're sure of what you want to do as a career then the BA QTS seems like the most sensible route. If you have any doubts then giving yourself more time to build experience and confidence through the other route is going to be better
