MA in Education and into PhD (Fitness and Health Development in Children)

Hey, I've just finished my third year of study at Edge Hill, completing my BA (Hons) in Primary English Education with QTS* with a 1st and an outstanding grade on placement.
Whilst I will be completing my NQT year from September onwards I am looking forward to the future already.
A particular area of interest I wish to research in more detail is that of the fitness and health levels of children in the primary school age range, thinking particularly of the levels of childhood obesity we're seeing nowadays and seeing if there is a link between that and the engagement these children have with physical education and healthy living topics in school. I'm really interested in seeing what has caused this change and what we can do both as society and as teachers to tackle this problem.
I was wondering if anybody had any advice or recommendation for particular MA courses that offer modules that would suit the area of research and study I wish to pursue. Are there particular courses that may be better suited that a generic MA in Education? Are there modules on certain MA Education courses I should consider? Which avenue is best to carry this on to PhD level?
Any advice would be welcomed!
You're going to have to do your own research to work out which courses offer specialised modules in the areas you're interested in and which unis do relevant research. It'll be good practise for when you do a research degree.
