How old should examples be for interviews?

If you were applying for a graduate job would it be okay to mention examples and experiences you have had at college when answering interview questions or must they be recent?

Within a year or two is ok. Longer than that maybe not.

Its a rather open ended question but given most graduates have no experience any experience is good experience and worthy of being mentioned.

it depends, potentially if you referred to something you did at work during your A levels and you haven't worked through university that might be okay but generally it's better to keep things more recent than that if you can... obviously with the proviso that any example is better than no example
