Anyone seen La boum?

the 80s french teen film.
I love it, but the ending though...got me so confused. she's in love with mathieu, then she dances with another boy at the end? there must be something i've missed out or do i need to see the sequel to find out? i really dont want to cos i thought mathieu is like her true love...

ok just finished the sequel, it just turns out that the relationship symbolises the non-permenant nature of teenage love, which is why she moved on so quickly like literally in one second. didnt do great for the plot but whatevs, i love all the scenes before it :rofl:
