When can you submit your 2008 UCAS application?

Ah right, sorry about that. I misunderstood.

Although I can't provide you with a source, I'd assume that the earliest you can send your UCAS application would be early september. That's what it was last year, anyway.

Lets say I dont get in anywhere this year, which looks like its the case, do I have to cancel my current application to reapply for next year? When does the current one 'run out'?

20th September is the last day of clearing so maybe then? It would be best to cancel though.

Sorry, I can't remember where, but I think I saw somewhere on the ucas site they mentioned mid-september and processing the forms once they've been paid. I'll see if I can find it.

You are sending your application after mid-September (applications cannot be sent to us before mid-September).

I've found it, on the UCAS apply 08 form, it says that applications can be submitted from mid-September. However, all other sources say 1st September 2007, and if that's what it was last year, why would they change it and give a vague 'mid-September'?

edit: most sources state 1st of september, so that's probably it then?

I don't know. We should trust UCAS as knowing I suppose, but it doesn't explain why most sources seem to think it's the 1st of September, and was the 1st of September last year, when UCAS said that last years applications could also only be submitted from 'mid-September'.

there was another page that said mid - but what i think it is is that by the time the applications from the 1st have been processed and sent to universities it will be mid september. Just don't panic! :smile:
