I just booked my first driving lesson, AMA

I just booked my first driving lesson £50 for two hours next (this) week. I think that is the standard rate. I will be careful on the roads, and want to start with theory discussion first. AMA?!?

What is the difference between a pelican crossing and a toucan crossing?
How many lessons are you planning to take in total before the theory test? I know some do the theory test then lessons.

Also good luck. :h:

Generally, I aim for around 10mph, although with some lights it's slower.

Toucan crossings are designed for pedestrians and cyclists to use at the same time. That's not to say that cyclists can't use zebra, pelican and puffin crossings, but they should get off their bikes and wheel them across. With a toucan crossing, the area is wider, leaving plenty of room for cyclists to ride across.17 Sep 2014

either way, well done. having your own car really takes a burden off your shoulders. i should start saving so that i can buy a car again

It's good fun, I'm on my like 7th (?). You driven at all before? Or is this your true first time in the ol' drivers seat?
