applying for a masters post graduation.

if a student applies immediately following graduation, as opposed to during the final year, would universities discriminate in any way against him//her??

i am in my final year but dont want to apply for a finance masters now because i feel that i need to take extra qualifications to shore up/prove my maths and take the GRE/GMAT. i am intending to apply next autumn directly after my graduation in summer 2017. do universities expect anything extra/different from me?

ive heard that students who take time out, will be expected to have 'done something' with their time, but given that i am intending to apply only 3/4 months after graduation, aside from an internship, i wont have time to do anything.

all help appreciated.
They won't care but you will then have to take a year out. You may as well apply this year and if you don't get an offer, re-apply next Autumn as planned.
